Recently it was announced that Larry Niven’s Ringworld, one of my all time favourite books, has been adapted into a graphic novel and the first part is due to be released the 8th of July this year. I’ve read Ringworld several times and every time I do I dream of exploring this massive structure and the mysteries it may contain. Now we are going to get the opportunity to return in graphic form.

Robert Mandell, an animation writer, director, and producer has adapted the story. I think having a film writer adapt this story could be a great move. That means this graphic novel could be the platform needed to finally get a Ringworld film developed (pleasepleaseplease).

Sean Lam, the illustrator, has several credits to his name, but I’m not familiar with his work. I hope that his pen brings Ringworld and it’s characters as vividly to life as they are in my head.

I can’t wait until I have this book in my hands. More from the MacMillan here.
