Radio Times has revealed that Penguin Random House Audio is going to adapt five stories torn from the pages of the greatest comic in the galaxy, 2000AD. The five stories to be adapted include two Judge Dredd storylines, America and The Pit, both written by John Wagner, the space-noir story of Brink written by Dan Abnett, Pat Mills’ Sláine: The Horned God, and the ground breaking space opera by Alan Moore The Ballad of Halo Jones.
The talent confirmed for this series includes Joseph Fiennes as lawman Judge Dredd, Colin Morgan as Sláine, Richard Armitage and Nina Sosanya will star in Brink, and Shelia Atim will play Halo Jones.
All these stories are fan favourites among 2000AD readers and will certainly offer an exciting point of entry for those unfamiliar with the stores and characters. I have always considered these stories among the finest to ever leap from the pages of 2000AD so I’m very excited to hear them.
All five will be available starting Thursday, 4 March 2021.
2000AD is massively underappreciated, so anything new is always fantastic news.

The fact that Penguin Random House is spending the money on the cast they’ve selected is a good sign and a step in the right direction.
